In this painting I set out to explore different painting styles, choosing to paint a subject I have studied over the years, having painted him. This time I put the paint brushes away and employed the use of palette knives. Executing this painting without using a single paint brush. Defining a style that I am using primarily in my paintings today. This is the one that started it all, the painting where I really was able to hone into my signature style.
