Medium high-performance oils on aircraft grade aluminum panel
Hendrix I feel was the perfect subject for the techniques used in this painting. A mixed media creation, using hand brushed oils with automotive urethanes atop aircraft aluminum panels giving it, its psychedelic, holographic appearance.
Pushing boundaries, pushing limits, was what Jimi was all about, so I tried to emulate that same motivation in what I do, by pushing my artistic boundaries in colors and techniques used to capture the late, great Jimi Hendrix one of the most celebrated musicians of the 20th century.
